During my recent solo trip to Singapore, I stayed at the newly opened K Hotel 1515 located in the Jalan Besar neighborhood. Here’s an overview of my experience at this contemporary boutique hotel.
Introduction
I wanted a hotel that was centrally located but away from the tourist crowds. Situated close to the Jalan Besar MRT station, K Hotel 1515 seemed to fit the bill with its modern vibe, rooftop pool, and reasonable rates.
Pros
- Convenient Location: A 5-minute walk to Jalan Besar MRT made getting around Singapore easy. I could access hip spots in Kampong Glam as well as Downtown.
- Rooftop Pool with City Views: The sleek rooftop pool was a major highlight, offering panoramic views of Singapore. Gorgeous at sunset!
- Complimentary Minibar & Breakfast: My room came with a complimentary minibar including drinks and snacks. Breakfast was also included with tasty local dishes.
- Contemporary Style: The hotel features chic minimalist decor with clean lines, neutral tones, and modern art. Rooms had rainfall showers and Apple TVs.
Cons
- Small Gym: The gym is quite petite with limited equipment and square footage. Serious athletes may want to use the rooftop yoga deck instead.
- Newer Hotel: As a recently opened property, the hotel was still smoothing out some small service issues during my stay. But staff were eager to help.
Conclusion
For a stylish boutique hotel stay, K Hotel 1515 is a fabulous option with its central location, complimentary amenities, rooftop pool, and modern vibe.
Business and leisure travelers alike will appreciate the convenience and value. Though newer, the hotel already shines with its insta-worthy design and comfortable rooms. I’d happily return on my next visit to Singapore.
