During my recent trip to Singapore, I opted to stay at the Capri by Fraser, Changi City located near the Changi Airport. Here’s an overview of my experience at this contemporary hotel.
Introduction
With an early morning flight out, I wanted a hotel near Changi Airport to minimize travel time. But I still hoped for stylish accommodations and amenities for my last night in Singapore. The newly opened Capri by Fraser seemed to fit the bill.
Pros
- Ultra-Convenient Location: Right beside Changi Airport Terminal 4 makes this ideal for early flights. I walked to my terminal in less than 10 minutes.
- Stylish Modern Decor: The lobby and rooms are sleekly furnished in muted tones with clean, contemporary aesthetics. Plush beds, large rain showers, and city views from my room.
- Fantastic Amenities: From the 24-hour gym to outdoor pool, Capri by Fraser doesn’t skimp on amenities despite its airport location. The cocktail bar was lively in the evenings.
- Helpful Staff: Front desk employees went out of their way to ensure I had a comfortable stay. They booked my airport transfer and provided a wake-up call.
Cons
- Not Near Key Sights: The Changi area is quite residential, so you’ll need to commute to attractions in the city center. Not ideal for longer stays.
- Food Options: The on-site restaurant seemed overpriced. Thankfully, the airport terminals have plenty of dining choices.
Conclusion
For travelers needing an airport hotel in Singapore, Capri by Fraser Changi City is a fantastic choice. The ultra-convenient location, sleek rooms, and helpful staff ensure a relaxing pre-flight stay. With stylish amenities you might not expect so close to the airport, I was very impressed and would certainly recommend it.
