This unique attraction on Sentosa Island provides a thrilling yet beginner-friendly ride down winding downhill tracks in a comfortable go-kart style “luge”.

Gliding through tropical greenery with scenic vistas made for an exhilarating experience suitable for all ages.

Getting Suited Up

Skyline Luge is located conveniently right next to the Sentosa Merlion and Imbiah Lookout station. After purchasing our combo pass, we donned our safety helmets and headed for the chairlift to the hilltop. The friendly staff provided clear instructions on steering, braking and safety protocols for the descent.

Even my 6-year-old felt at ease with the simple controls designed for riders as young as 3 years old. The double luge we selected for the kids offered comforting safety bars too.

Scenic Chairlift Ride to the Top

We boarded the open air chairlift for a tranquil 3 minute ride to the hilltop start point. As we dangled our legs over lush greenery dotted with charming statues, I noticed that multiple elevated tracks of varying difficulty levels snaked down the hill. We picked the easiest course for our first run.

Surveying the island views from the chairlift whetted my appetite for the descent. With luge between my legs, I was ready to ride down the 688 meter track ahead!

Thrilling Ride Downhill

Once the gate opened, we were off! Pushing the simple handle forward gently accelerated my luge down the winding concrete track. Smooth wheels took most of the bumps with ease. Controlling speed using the handle and brake was intuitive yet thrilling as we picked up momentum down steep curves.

Though safely enclosed in a low barrier, taking hairpin turns and sloped drops still gave an energizing rush. My daughter squealed joyfully on the double luge behind me. All too soon, the ride concluded at the base station – but we couldn’t wait to hop right back in line.

Riding Again and Again

Over the next two hours, we must have completed a dozen runs down the various tracks, from the verdant Dragon Trail to the steep Cliff Run. Trying tougher courses as we got the hang of steering and braking ratcheted up the fun. I appreciated that each run only lasted a few minutes, so we could ride again quickly.

By the time we hung up our helmets, our hair was windswept but our smiles were huge. Skyline Luge gave us an activity we could enjoy together as a family. I’ll cherish the giggles and joy of racing down the hillside on this unforgettable Singapore experience.
